Jules Aarons begins taking photographs of residents of Boston neighborhoods.

Using a Rolliflex twin-lens reflect camera allows Aarons to take pictures at right angles to where he is facing, enabling him to take what are later called “hyper candid street portraits” of his unsuspecting subjects.
